Benefits of Scribbling drawing in Art Therapy

Let's see how it slows them and calm the clients.

  1. Provide the clients with few papers.

  2. Ask them to scribble whatever they feel like. Remember to provide with Colour pencils, Crayons and Sketches. I recommend Apsara Platinum Extra Dark Pencils for scribbles.

  3. Do not restrict the clients to use only one paper. Let them opt for few if they want.

  4. Observation: You will observe that the the frequency of scribbling slows down as they add pages or by the end of scribble.

  5. Don't Panic if you see that the clients start feeling emotional. Let them let it go.

  6. Once they have confirmed that they had done with the task.

  7. You may ask them to share their experience and also write a reflection about the same.

  8. Recommend clients to start working on the gratitude journal.
